A few years ago, the water was still crystal clear. Now it’s growing increasingly turbid. Warm water microorganisms are becoming more and more common. The researchers say that by better understanding the ecosystem of the lake, they may be able to find ways to reduce the impact of climate change both on the Stechlinsee and other bodies of water like it.
