In Sudan, 21 million people are facing acute food shortages. The World Food Program warns that North Darfur and Kordofan are on the brink of famine. Community kitchens are trying to alleviate the hunger crisis.

In Sudan's Tawila camp, over 650,000 displaced people struggle to access food as aid deliveries fall far short of demand.

Community kitchens, funded largely by Sudanese donors, prepare limited daily meals despite soaring prices and dangerous supply routes.

Many families rely on neighbors to survive, while local organizers say children urgently need schooling and safe spaces alongside basic nutrition.
