NATO forces in Afghanistan say German troops have accidently killed at least five Afghan soldiers in the north of the country. The governor of Kunduz province says six are dead. The Germans are reported to have mistaken the Afghan solidiers for insurgents and opened fired when they ignored signals to stop. The incident happened as the German troops were on their way to the scene of an earlier firefight between Bundeswehr soldiers and suspected Taliban insurgents which killed three Germans.
