The Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo that spread to Uganda has triggered a global emergency. As the deathtoll rises, neighboring Rwanda has closed its border.

Congo is urging rapid international support as an Ebola outbreak in the east spreads to Uganda, prompting a global health emergency. Dozens have died and hundreds of cases are suspected. With no licensed vaccine for the strain, authorities and residents fear further spread, as neighboring Rwanda closes its border to contain the crisis.
