Contract for Integration - Hamburg and the Muslim community

After five years of negotiation, Hamburg has signed an agreement with several major Islamic associations in the city regarding issues such as the recognition of Islamic holidays and the construction of mosques.

The agreement is the first of its kind to be signed by a German state. Hamburg mayor Olaf Scholz says the agreement will further cooperation and harmony among the city’s diverse residents.
