Since 2022, Ukraine has become expert at fending off drones fired by Russia but designed in Iran. DW talks to Anatoly Motkin of StrategEast about the expertise Ukraine can offer the Gulf states facing attacks from Iran.

Over the last few days, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been touring the Gulf states in an effort to gather support for Ukraine's war against Russia, meeting leaders who are themselves now facing drone attacks from Iran. Since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion, Ukraine has become expert at fending off Shahed drones. DW speaks with Anatoly Motkin, President of the StrategEast Center for a New Economy, a non-profit based in the US that aims to develop knowledge-driven economies in the Eurasian region. He says the Iran war has shone a spotlight on Ukraine's emergence as a "drone superpower."
