This past weekend, the global credit crisis brought down two of the oldest and most respected financial institutions in the United States, Merril Lynch and Lehman Brothers. And this has many observers speculating that further financial companies will soon follow suit. One company already fighting for its survival is insurance giant American International Group, or AIG.
