Germany's foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said the EU will prepare further responses to Russia's actions in Ukraine if Moscow doesn't show signs of backing down by the weekend. But it's still not clear what kind of action Brussels is willing to take. Economic sanctions would hurt both sides - without any guarantee they'd end the crisis.
