French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner has alleged there are signs of ethnic cleansing by Russian forces in South Ossetia. In an interview with radio broadcaster 'Europe 1', Kouchner called the situation "extremely dangerous" and said there was evidence that Russian forces were evicting Ossetians who back Georgia. There's been no independent confirmation of the French claim, but western aid organizations say they have not been able to reach areas under Russian control.
