Angela Merkel has been re-elected as German chancellor. Christine Lagarde is keeping a tight rein on the International Monetary Fund, and it looks as if Janet Yellen may well be in line to head the world's most powerful central bank, the U.S. Federal Reserve.

Three women have their hands on the levers of the world economy. It's up to them to manage the economic crisis: debt, unemployment, saving the euro, etc. How do these women tackle the challenges? Is there a woman's way?
