Critics outraged by India gay sex law

India has reinstated a law that bans gay sex, leading to defiant reactions from LGBT groups. The country’s top court overturned a 2009 ruling by a lower court in Delhi, which had decriminalized homosexuality, saying the decision can only be made by lawmakers. Activists can petition parliament to change the legislation, but with a general election on the horizon progress is expected to be slow.
