Croatia will be electing a new parliament on November 25. The country is doing well: economic data are fine, tourism is booming again in Dubrovnik, and Croatia is negotiating for European Union membership. But these negotiations are forcing the Croatians to consider their past. In the Balkan Wars, many Serbs were driven out of Dubrovnik.
