A Russian airstrike on an apartment building in Kharkiv killed at least four people and injured dozens. Ukraine says Russia is still targeting critical sites despite discussions of an energy ceasefire.

A Russian airstrike  on a residential building in Kharkiv killed at least four people and injured around 40, according to officials. Residents described frantic rescue efforts as firefighters searched through the rubble for survivors. The attack comes amid ongoing Russian bombardments across Ukraine, with damage also reported in Kyiv and the western Lviv region. The latest strikes follow announcements from the United States of a proposed energy ceasefire between Moscow and Kyiv, a deal neither side has confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Kyiv is willing to observe the ceasefire if Russia does the same.
