This wonderful example of the frame-building expertise in the Vorarlberg region of Austria uses wood with an eye on ecology. Located in the Bregenz Forest, the „Haller House“ won the "Family House" award in 2009. Its architect and co-designer, Jürgen Haller, lives in it. The home mixes the old with the new as the roof has traditional wooden shingles but the house uses geothermal energy.
