Displaced Palestinians are on the road again in Gaza, returning to what's left of their homes to rebuild their lives. But it's risky. Unexploded bombs lurk under the rubble and remains of buildings.

Gaza faces a deadly challenge as displaced residents return, following the implementation of a ceasefire, to rebuild amid widespread destruction. Unexploded bombs litter homes and streets, posing grave risks. Experts estimate 10% of Israeli munitions failed to detonate.

International teams like HALO Trust and UN Mine Action Service are mobilizing to clear the ordnance, but the process could take decades and cost hundreds of millions.
