Denmark plans compulsory military service for women

As Denmark moves to strengthen its armed forces in response to Europe's shifting security landscape, the country's parliament is preparing to pass a new law: one that would make military conscription mandatory for women, just as it already is for men.
The shift comes with some challenges — from sleeping arrangements and equipment standards, to protocols for preventing and addressing harassment. But it's a change that active soldiers would certainly support, as a step toward real equality and equal opportunity in the armed forces.
