Three people were wounded on Sunday in a shooting in Denmark.

They do not face life-threatening injuries, the police said.

Police said in a statement they believed that the incident was linked to a "settling of scores" within criminal networks.

"At this time, we cannot provide further information about their condition. The police presumption is that this is a settling of scores within the criminal milieu," the statement read.

Officers had been called to multiple locations in Holbaek, some 70 kilometers (45 miles) west of the capital, Copenhagen.

The incident was reported to police around 3:45 p.m. local time (1345 UTC).

Before the shots were fired, a fight broke out within a larger group in a residential estate, police said

Police said that the perpetrators were seen leaving the scene in a white car, according to preliminary information.
