Of course it's not ONLY the banking sector that is suffering from the current financial crisis. It is affecting the entire economy - and everyone involved with it. When banks fail, there is no credit available, and it is rare for a company to survive without that. (Moreover, no cash means no investment, which means no new jobs - and fewer old ones - which means more unemployment.)
