Despite the financial crisis, the outlook for consumer spending in Germany is better than expected. A leading market research institute, the G-F-K in Nurnberg, has predicted a small increase in consumer spending for next year. Analysts said the main reason for their optimism is the falling rate of inflation in Germany.
