German taxpayers are skeptical to say the least - skeptical that the EU may be throwing good tax money after bad. But both the EU and the German government see the need to help Greece. The new bail-out package would amount to over 100 billion euros, 20 billion of which would come from Germany. But the German parliament has to approve it first. The divisions run deep through all the parties.
