Why are the Finns the undisputed world champions when it comes to happiness? They have topped the United Nations’ "World Happiness Report” eight times in a row.

Can we learn to be happy? Or does happiness reside in our genes? At first glance, the results of the World Happiness Report don’t seem to fit the cold, dark North at all. Winters are harsh. Many Finns have an alcohol problem. Russia is a direct threat. The economy is stagnating. Yet the vast majority of Finns feel happy. Finnish actress Meri Koivisto sets out to discover what the formula for happiness in the far north could be.
