Donning a green coat, Burberry bows to consumers

Britain's Burberry says it will stop the controversial practice of burning millions of dollars worth of overstocked textiles and other products to preserve its high prices and upmarket image. It signals a growing awareness of social responsibility and other ethical issues in the luxury products industry. Burberry also says it is phasing out real fur from its fashion collections.
