Faced with the threat of an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, schools in the city of Goma are strengthening preventive measures. Hygiene has become a priority for the students.

To help prevent the spread of Ebola, more than 3,000 students at this Goma school must now wash their hands before entering class. The WHO and UNICEF say handwashing and awareness are key to curbing Ebola.

The first minutes of the lesson are devoted to reminding students of the preventive measures to follow. The WHO has warned of an increase in suspected cases in several parts of Congo.
