A year after dictator Assad's fall and months after deadly sectarian clashes in the southern region of Sweida, Syria's Druze community is still reeling — raising doubts about how inclusive the new Syria is for minorities.

Months after deadly clashes between Druze and Bedouin tribes in Syria's Sweida region, displaced families shelter in schools, haunted by violence and torture. The conflict escalated when Damascus intervened and Israel launched strikes, leaving a fragile ceasefire and deep mistrust. Activists say hopes for democracy have faded, as sectarian divisions and trauma overshadow promises from the central government.
