The center-left Democrats 66 is expected to match the nationalist Party for Freedom after tripling its seats in parliament. With the parties neck and neck, negotiations to form a new government for the Netherlands could take months.

The pro-EU Democrats 66 surged in the Netherlands, matching the euroskeptic Party for Freedom in snap elections.
