Experts from the World Health Organization have arrived in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo to combat a deadly Ebola outbreak that has killed nearly 100 people. The virus is centered in conflict-hit Ituri province, with cases also confirmed in Goma and neighboring Uganda. Authorities urge early treatment as fear grows among residents. It is a rare strain with no approved vaccine, which combined with weak surveillance and ongoing violence, is complicating containment efforts.
