Egypt: Top Court rules Parliament invalid

Egypt's Supreme Court has ruled both the upper house of parliament and the country's constitutional panel 'invalid.' The upper house will remain in place until parliamentary elections later this year. The decision could weaken the Islamist government's hold on power, and threatens to deepen the political instability in the country that's still struggling to gain a foothold after the Arab Spring.
