Egyptian voters back constitution

A draft constitution proposed by Egypt’s interim government has been passed after being backed by 98.1% of voters, but the poll was marred by a low turnout. The referendum was boycotted by Islamist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood, and only 38.6% of eligible voters cast their ballot.
