Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed on Wednesday that they have appointed Adi Hütter as their new head coach. 

"His CV is impressive, he has proved through his work at several clubs that he knows how to get the most out of limited resources," Frankfurt's board member in charge of sport, Fredi Bobic, said in a statement announcing the hiring. "Therefore, he is a perfect fit at our club." 

Hütter is to take up his duties sometime after Saturday's German Cup final, which will be Niko Kovac's last in charge of Frankfurt, as they face the Croatian's future club, Bayern Munich.

Hütter spent the past three seasons with Swiss outfit Young Boys Bern, sealing his first league title this year. The 48-year old also has the opportunity to bow out with a cup triumph, with his side set to meet FC Zürich in the final of the Swiss Cup on May 27. 

Hütter coached RB Salzburg to a league and cup double in the 2014-15 season, his only year in charge, before taking the reins at Young Boys. He previously coached Austrian sides SV Grödig and SC Rheindorf Altach.
