Emergency warnings - Poland and Eastern Germany in the grip of historic floods

Along the Oder River in eastern Germany- emergency warnings are in effect as flood waters arrive earlier than expected, placing a new dyke system under intense pressure. +++LMREIN+++ In Poland - the Oder has already inundated more than two dozen communities, left at least 16 people dead and destroyed hundreds of hectares of crops. The German state of Brandenburg is seeing the second highest water levels ever recorded.
