Energy giant E.ON has dropped a bombshell by agreeing to sell off its power grid. For years the European Commission has being trying to boost competition in the EU energy market by campaigning for Europe's large utilities to get rid of their power distribution networks. The EU had threatened to impose a massive fine on E.ON unless it complied with its demands.
