Young journalists are making a difference by throwing the spotlight on environmental problems, such as habitat loss, plastic waste, and illegal mining.

Ghana’s elephant population has dropped from 30,000 to just 1,000 since the 1970s. Young environmental reporters like Jakpa Kojo Abubakari are raising awareness from Mole National Park, while programs such as Young Reporters for the Environment train journalists to tackle urgent issues like deforestation, plastic pollution, and endangered species.
