Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tyyip Erdogan says he will carry through reforms in his country. Erdogan is in Brussels for talks with EU officials on Turkey's efforts to join the bloc. Widespread oppostion in mainly western EU countries has virtually frozen the membership talks, which began in 2005. However, the recent disruptions in Russian gas deliveries may be providing Turkey with some bargaining power.
