The European aviation industry warned that the new EU Entry/Exit System caused wait times of up to five hours. Non-EU passengers have to register fingerprints and facial images the first time they enter the EU.

Long queues and missed flights are causing frustration at airports across Europe following the rollout of the EU’s new Entry Exit System (EES).
