Kaja Kallas: EU seeks stronger partnership with Africa

Speaking in Accra, EU Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas told DW that the bloc aims to position itself as Africa's preferred partner by focusing on long-term, and fair, cooperation.

The EU is deepening security cooperation in West Africa, signing its first defense pact with Ghana and supporting Nigeria against terrorism and cyber threats. Kaja Kallas says the EU is providing drones, vehicles and tech tools while backing economic projects and seeking fair partnerships on energy and critical raw materials.
