Euro boosted by worries over the US consumer

The currency that bounced back. That is how you can describe the euro this week. The common European currency hit its highest level in two months against the greenback on Friday--briefly breaking through the one dollar 30 level. For months now, the euro has been dogged by worries over sovereign debt in Europe. Now it is being boosted by worries over the US consumer.
