The name IKEA stands for practical, affordable furniture that has become popular the world over. The whole idea originally was that good design wasn't something that was necessarily expensive and ended up in museums, but could be mass produced and found in every home. It seems the wheel has now turned full circle because IKEA designs are now being celebrated in a museum, the Pinakothek in Munich. And it's a major exhibition with over 100 design classics from the Swedish company on display.
