The Scorpions are one of the most successful rock bands ever. This year marks their unbelievable 50th stage anniversary. During a tour that had started as their Farewell tour they decided that they want to just keep on rocking. Deutsche Welle's new documentary 'Forever and a Day' traces the band's unique history. euromaxx was at the world premiere of the film in Berlin.
Visible History in Zaragoza
We visit the city of Zaragoza located in northeastern Spain. It is a prime example of the mix of Moorish and European cultures that is characteristic for Spain. We went to take in Zaragoza's many attractions.
Work and Play at the Berlin Film Festival
Berlinale is an opportunity for production companies, film distributors and sponsors to throw parties and receptions. These events are an intricate part of the film festival and a perfect chance for movers and shakers to network. Despite a pretty tight schedule, young German actor and filmmaker Tom Sommerlatte was so kind to let us come along.
Ice Skating in Davos
Swiss winter sports resort Davos is home to Europe’s largest natural ice rink. It boasts a surface area of 18,000 square meters and attracts beginners and professional skaters alike. Every year between December and the end of February figure skaters, speed skaters and hockey teams train here. We took to the ice ourselves to see the action.
Cologne Carnival Dancers
Some people spend the whole year preparing for Cologne’s Carnival celebrations. That's certainly true of the Luftflotte dance troupe, which performs at some of the biggest events. We met up with the inspiration behind their choreography: 83-year-old Biggi Fahnenschreiber.
