Up until now The European Biennial of Contemporary Art, the Manifesta, has always been staged in a city, but this year Manifesta 7 is being held in a whole region, South Tyrol in the north of Italy. Four towns in the region and places in between are,for the next five months, playing host to works, installations and events by nearly two hundred different artists. So you can combine a trip through a beautiful area with some thought provoking art.
