And we start off with a real rarity - Sicilian soprano Lucia Aliberti. Rare because she is a true master of the difficult art of Bel canto - a florid style of singing popular in early 19th century Italian opera. Aliberti is best known for her bel canto roles in operas by Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti. Her latest album features early Verdi arias and she's now taking them around Europe - we caught up with her in Hamburg.
