Europe is Germany's Biggest Export Market

Europe remains the most important market for German exports. Germany's Federal Statistical Office reported on Wednesday that currently around three-fourths of all "Made in Germany" goods were being exported to European countries. According to the office, last year Germany exported goods worth 733 billion euros ($948.49 billion), 74 percent of which were sold in European nations. Statistics showed that America was the second-most important market for Germany, amounting for 11.5 percent of German exports and just narrowly ahead of Asia with 11.3 percent. Africa took in a mere two percent of German exports, while Australia came in last with just 0.7 percent.
