European investors are increasingly concerned about the exposure of Three European banks to an investment fund run by Bernard Madoff, an American hedge fund manager. The banks could have lost up to 3.8- Bbillion Dollars. US investigators believe Madoff could have taken up to 50- Bbillion Euros from investors in a so-called "ponzi" scheme.
