Fair Pay not Slave Wages - Amazon Employees Fight Back

A strike against online retailer Amazon has never happened before in Germany. Yet just days ago workers at several locations did just that. Workers are demanding a collective agreement and wages that comply with established rates for retail stores and mail-order firms.

But Amazon believes it should only be obliged to pay the lower wages common in the logistics sector. The difference can be as much as 2 euros an hour.
