That notion that farmers have no time to do anything with their lives other than farm has been shattered. And it's all because of a little place called Karl's Farm.

The pick-your-own strawberries farm, in the unsuspecting town of Roevershagen near Rostock, in northern Germany, appealed to its visitors to scour their attics for pots they no longer needed and to donate them to the worthy Guinness cause.

And they apparently heeded the call in droves, delivering an astounding 13,267 original items.

By way of thanking those who helped them beat off a rival collector in another eastern German town, Karl's Farm has promised to throw nothing less than a coffee party.
