Protesting farmers blocked the streets of Brussels with their tractors today, throwing firecrackers, eggs and bottles at police. They're unhappy with rising costs and bureaucracy in the EU, which spends tens of billions of euros on agricultural subsidies — but most go to the biggest producers.
