A woman in the US state of Minnesota has died after being shot by a federal officer during an immigration raid. The incident has sparked protests and vigils, with the city's mayor describing the killing as reckless and unnecessary.

An ICE agent fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in her car during a Minneapolis immigration raid on Wednesday. Officials have claimed she tried to run over an officer, calling it "act of domestic terrorism." President Donald Trump has backed the claim that the agent acted in self-defense.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz have condemned the shooting, calling the raids reckless. Protests erupted as the FBI and state authorities began investigations.
