In Thailand - anti-government protesters have ignored a police order to end their blockade of Bangkok's main airport. The People's Alliance for Democracy is occupying two airports in its campaign to topple Prime Minister Somchai Wong-sawat. They accuse him of being a puppet of exiled former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, and insist he must go. Tensions are escalating in the country with pro-government demonstrators now also taking to the streets.
