Elisabeth and Dieter Gesehl were quite shocked when they suddenly heard meows coming from underneath the hood of their car after arriving at their destination.

"First of all we called the police as we feared for a moment that we must have run over and seriously injured a cat," the 64-year-old woman from Eggenfelden told Bonner Express newspaper, Reuters news agency reported.

Once they checked the car, however, they discovered the little cat sitting next to the engine. The Gesehls have adopted "Pussy" and said their new family member was back to normal as soon as she'd received a few pets to make up for the ordeal.
