Filipino protesters fear losing territory to China

The first visit of a Chinese president to the Philippines in 13 years has drawn protests in the capital Manila over plans for the joint development of oil and gas in the South China Sea (SCS). Infrastructure deals are also on the agenda, which are criticized as a Chinese strategy to create dependence through loans in smaller economies.
