Taiwan's tallest skyscraper, the Taipei 101 tower, launched its annual fireworks display to welcome in the New Year. The spectacular display was launched from Taipei's iconic 508-metre-tall (1666.67 ft) tower. Thousands of people gathered on the streets surrounding the venue in celebration.
